Autumn Greetings and Salutations!

Whew! It’s been a busy, but fun-filled summer for the Peace Tree crew!

With beer festivals and events across Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Wisconsin and Minnesota, we were on the road just about every weekend for the past three months.  Along the way, we were fortunate to meet and share our brews with lots of enthusiastic beer fans.

Now, as summer fades into fall, we’re excited to share a seasonal batch of our popular Cornucopia farmhouse ale!

In addition to malted barley, our Cornucopia is brewed with sweet corn, then mildly hopped and fermented with a Belgian saison yeast for earthy, fruity and spicy notes.  The result is a lovely golden beer with a truly unique flavor and aroma.  This one checks in around 6.5% ABV.

Cornucopia was packaged the last week in September and is starting to appear on store shelves and in fine restaurants and bars, so be sure to pick it up while you can find it!

And as if that wasn’t enough great news, we’ve started to release a batch of our new “No Coast IPA” to draft accounts.

No Coast India Pale Ale is heavily hopped with Citra, Amarillo and Simcoe, fermented with an American yeast, then dry-hopped for a fresh burst of aroma. This beer registers around 6.5% ABV. We think it’s quite tasty and hope you’ll feel the same!

We’ve also been keeping Joe, our brewmaster, busy planning ahead for more fall and winter releases, including our Rye Porter, Imperial Stout, Black River Gumbo Stout and Templeton Red…  So, stay tuned!

Lastly, I’d like to mention that we’ve added a new member to our team this month. Please help us welcome Justin Leahy, who just moved from New York City to join our crew as of October 1st. Justin has been studying brewing and will be working in the brewhouse with Joe, Paul and Shannon. We’re happy to have him on board!
