80/35 Soundcheck!

Are you going to the 80/35 Music Festival in Des Moines this summer?

You should be!

More than 50 musical acts will converge on downtown Des Moines’s beautiful Western Gateway Park to perform July 4th and 5th!

The past two years, 80/35 has generously supported our Red Rambler, Blonde Fatale, Hop Wrangler and Sidekick Kolsch-style at their beer tents.

This year, members of the non-profit Des Moines Music Coalition approached us about brewing a beer specifically for 80/35.

We thought it was a great idea and are proud to announce the arrival of 80/35 Soundcheck!

Soundcheck is a new Session IPA — a brew that’s full of hop flavor and aroma, but with a lighter body for easier drinkability on a hot summer day. And with a lower alcohol content of about 4.9% ABV, it’s a tasty beer you can enjoy throughout the festival weekend!

Plus, a percentage of the proceeds from every Soundcheck sold go right back to the DMMC, to promote the ever-growing music scene right here in Central Iowa! It’s a great cause!

In addition to being available at the beer tents inside the festival itself, Soundcheck will be on tap at select locations throughout downtown Des Moines for a limited time.

Look for Soundcheck on tap, starting the first week in July, at these great, music-friendly venues in the metro:

The Gas Lamp – check out their 80/35 afterparty on July 5th, with music by: Holy White Hounds, Dylan Sires & Neighbors and Viva Montesa.

Wooly’s – check out the Wooly’s 80/35 afterparty on July 5th, with live music by: Bear Hands, Junior Prom, Total Slacker and MAIDS.

Vaudeville Mews & The Lift – check out the Mew’s 80/35 afterparties, featuring music by: Tires, Control, Kinky Kyro on July 4th and Hunterchild and Love Songs for Lonely Monsters on July 5th!
